Spotlight on Michele Falsetta

Michele Falsetta has been with Puget Sound Orthopaedics (PSO) and Dr. Michael Martin for fifteen years. We wanted to give her a well-deserved moment in the spotlight before she retires.

Michele’s versatility has allowed her to work in a variety of positions at PSO: at our front desk, in our MRI suite, and in our billing department. Michele’s latest role is as Surgery and Injections Scheduler where in addition to surgeries and injections, she schedules follow up appointments, obtains authorizations and much more.

Over the course of her time at PSO she has enjoyed the friendships she made, the knowledge she gained from mentors, and feeding the homeless as part of our Helping Hands NW team. Once a month Michele volunteers at a local homeless shelter to serve hot meals and provide supplies to those in need. Helping people is a passion for Michele and she describes herself as compassionate, kind, and a good listener. It is no wonder Michele is in the medical field. When asked what her super power would be, she said “Super strength to be a hero, obviously.” If she could meet anyone throughout history Princess Diana is at the top of her list because of all the contributions she made to underprivileged people throughout the world.

When asked if she thought retirement will be like a second childhood she replied with a hearty “Yes.” She is currently taking golf lessons and planning trips around the globe. One of her mottos is “Enjoy the moment for tomorrow is never a given.” Michele says, “I regret not doing things when I was younger.” Her next trip will take her to Southern Italy to connect with her heritage where she can indulge in her favorite food – salad. Michele is also looking forward to spending more time with her grandkids and being a full time grandma.

Her advice to those of us still working is, “Don’t be afraid to ask questions,” and “Having a clear line of communication across one’s team is the key to success.”

We will greatly miss Michele and the dedication she has poured into the work she does.

Thank you Michele, we appreciate you!  Enjoy your well-deserved retirement.
