For this Provider Spotlight, meet Dr. Richard Gray.

Dr. Gray: Orthopedic Surgeon Dedicated to Exceptional Care

Dr. Gray is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon who is committed to providing excellent care to his patients. With a focus on hip and knee joint replacement surgeries, he specializes in conditions affecting these areas of the musculoskeletal structure, such as hip osteoarthritis, post-traumatic arthritis, and runner’s knee, along with hip and knee sports-related injuries.

He attended medical school at Northwestern University Medical School in Chicago, Illinois, and he pursued residency there as well, focusing on orthopedic surgery before joining the Spinal Surgery Fellowship at the Minnesota Spine Center in Minneapolis, MN. Dr. Gray’s commitment to orthopedic care cannot be overstated; volunteering as a sports medicine consultant for Bellarmine Preparatory School and holding professional memberships in the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, the American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons, the Pierce County Medical Society, Washington State Medical Society, and the North American Spine Society.

Dr. Richard Gray has provided care in the Tacoma community for over twenty-five years, bringing a uniquely holistic skill set to diagnosing and treating his neighbors. Outside of his medical work, Dr. Gray spends a great deal of time outdoors with his wife and six children, participating in school as a parent and in his church.
